5.2-magnitude quake hits Kermadec Islands, New Zealand -- GFZ

BEIJING, March 31 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.2 jolted Kermadec Islands, New Zealand, at 1522 GMT on Monday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 39.7 km, was initially determined to be at 29.36 degrees south latitude and 177.27 degrees west longitude.
