Iran had already defeated New Zealand 15-13 and Kazakhstan 16-9 in Group D.

Ali Piroozkhahs young men are scheduled to meet the US on Wednesday.

The World Aquatics Men's U20 Water Polo Championships takes place from June 14 to 21 in Zagreb, Croatia. The event is the 23rd edition of the men's Championship.

Hungary is the defending champion.
