Microsoft strengthens Facebook pages
New Zealand News.Net Thursday 24th July, 2008
Microsoft has decided on a management change in its online division and has strengthened its tie to Facebook.
Word of the deepened interest in Facebook comes a day after Microsoft announced the departure of Kevin Johnson, the executive who was considered the architect of the failed campaign to acquire Yahoo.
According to Microsoft, Facebook will soon begin using its technology for online searches and Internet ads.
Google has a similar deal with Facebook rival MySpace.
